Bundle Description

Includes 2 courses: Part 1 and Part 2

Diversity is not the solution to every problem. We have extensive experience with establishing committees, policies and commitments that have led to "woke culture" with minimal return. To observe the change necessary to transform practice, instead individuals and entities should acknowledge systemic, institutional and residual effects of racism and white supremacy embedded in our country and our mental health system. This interactive training provides recommendations for individuals to do anti-racism work within their department, organization, and institution.

Learning Outcomes

for Part 1

  • Establish a shared understanding of core concepts related to racism and white supremacy

  • Review the history and foundation of anti-Black racism in mental health

  • Identify the characteristics of white supremacy within mental health organizations

Learning Outcomes

for Part 2

  • Establish a shared understanding of core concepts related to anti-racism and social justice principles

  • Develop tools to identify how white supremacy culture may be operating within behavioral health organizations

  • Recognize our role in disrupting racism and white supremacy in our institutions
