Fred Davis
Fred N Davis, MD has been a community-based pain medicine physician since 1984 when he co-founded Michigan Pain Consultants, PC in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1996 he co-founded and served as president of ProCare Systems, Inc., a firm that provides management and development services to pain medicine practices. In 2015 ProCare was acquired by North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) as a wholly owned subsidiary. Renamed ProCare Pain Solutions, Dr. Davis served as president and CMO from 2015-2018.
Dr. Davis is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He is a clinical associate professor at Michigan State College of Human Medicine, where he is involved in medical education and research activities.
Dr. Davis has been an advocate of integrating IT systems for quality measures in the field of pain medicine that have applications across chronic disease treatment settings. He has clinical expertise in the area of evidence-based patient-centered individual and population focused clinical effectiveness research which serves as a foundation in the development of data informed value based systems of pain care.
He has been active in the American Academy of Pain Medicine since the late 1980’s and has served on several committees, as well as on advisory boards. Over the years Dr. Davis has presented research, authored numerous scientific publications, and is a sought after thought leader and speaker at national meetings.
Dr. Davis has had extensive experience in, program development, managing teams, mentoring, and coaching physicians, and in succession planning. His current interests are in the application of clinical intelligence tools to inform decision making in medicine.
